    Chinese scholar Zhang Xuedong won the California and Nevada State Awards for his outstanding achievements in the research of Chinese traditional culture.

    The award ceremony was held last Friday in Beijing.

    His years of studying Chinese philosophy resulted in his creative work "E-pictures."
